North campus Blaze Pizza closes in a flash

On Monday, the windows of Blaze Pizza were covered with brown paper and a sign announcing the business’s closing was stuck to the door.
“Sad to see us go?” the sign read. The sign prompts fans of Blaze Pizza to visit the restaurant’s other locations in Lexington.
“After careful consideration, we decided to consolidate our locations in Lexington to best serve the community,” said Joshua Levitt a member of Blaze’s Media Relations.
Blaze sat on Limestone across the street from the Boyd and Holmes dorms and next to Chipotle and Two Keys Tavern. The restaurant opened in fall 2015.
The restaurant is one of many recent business closures in the area. Noodles & Co. closed on Jan. 12 and Kennedy’s Bookstore closed in late December.
