Jordan Jones out for spring practice due to injury

As the Blue-White spring game approaches, UK football will be without another member of its defense as head coach Mark Stoops announced after Thursday’s practice that Jordan Jones will be out for the remainder of spring practice.
“He got injured Tuesday in practice, and he will require surgery on his shoulder,” Stoops said.
Jones missed four games last season with a shoulder injury, but Stoops said the spring injury is to the opposite shoulder.
The injury is expected to keep Jones out until the time of UK’s fall training camp.
“We expect a full recovery; it will push it right into about August,” Stoops said.
Jones is the second linebacker to get injured in the spring, as Jamin Davis is also out with an injury, leaving the Cats thin at inside linebacker.
“It’s unfortunate, he was getting better and having a really good spring but he had a shoulder injury and is getting operated on and will be out,” Stoops said.
