UK’s College of Communications and Information has found an interim dean. 

During the 2017-2018 school year, incumbent Dean Dan O’Hair announced he would step down from his role as the College of Communications and Information’s dean and return to a faculty position. Following this announcement, the college needed to find a replacement. 

According to UKNOW, Provost David Blackwell named Dr. Derek Lane as interim dean of the college.  

“I am excited about this opportunity, and I look forward to working with the college as we move forward,” Lane said in the UKNOW article. 

Lane will take O’Hair’s place beginning Aug. 1.
