Three sent to hospital after serious South Broadway crash

A crash at the intersection of South Broadway and Bolivar sent three people to a local hospital on Thursday morning, city fire officials say.
A red pickup truck and a blue passenger car collided near UK’s campus at about 8:45 a.m., causing morning rush hour traffic to be diverted onto Oliver Lewis Way, the Lexington Herald-Leader reported.
According to Lexington Fire Department spokesperson Jordan Saas, the intersection was reopened the same morning.
The cause of the crash is currently unclear.
