Kentucky baseball (15-9, 2-5 SEC) crumbled in the fifth inning and ultimately fell 9-7 to Texas A&M (13-12, 1-6 SEC).
The Bat Cats started off hot by scoring in the first four innings of the ballgame and entered the fifth with a 7-3 lead as Scott Rouse was on the mound making his first start of the season.
Rouse gave up a single and a walk to start off the inning before surrendering another single that brought home a run.

Nile Adcock was called upon and he gave up a double and a sacrifice fly to tie the game 7-7.
The Kentucky skipper came back out of the visiting dugout to call upon his fourth pitcher of the inning in Jackson Nove.
Terrence Kiel II tried to steal third and Devin Burkes’ throw sailed into left, which allowed Kiel II to score and give the Aggies an 8-7 lead.
Jace LaViolette extended the Aggies lead to 9-7 with a double in the sixth.
Despite the lead being blown, the Wildcats built the early advantage off the Aggies ace Ryan Prager starting in the first as a double, hit-by-pitch and error loaded the bases.
Tyler Bell roped a double down the left-field line to score two and open the scoring. Bell moved to third and scored on an error later in the inning to give Kentucky a 3-0 lead.
Cole Hage boosted the lead to 5-0 with a two-run home run in the second.
After the Aggies added one in the bottom of the second, Shaun Montya extended the lead to 6-1 with a double in the third.
Hage brought home another run in the fourth on a sacrifice fly that gave Kentucky a 7-1 advantage.
Rouse began to get a bit wild in the fourth as a double and walk gave way to a Bear Harrison single that added two more runs.
The Wildcats had a small rally in the ninth as an error and single brought the winning run to the plate, but a flyball from Bell comes up just short to end the game.
After the fourth, the Bat Cats were outscored 6-0 in the game one loss.
The Wildcats have now lost six of their last seven games as the 2025 struggles continue.
