Kentucky individual taxpayers will experience a delay in receiving tax refunds if they do not file before Wednesday, Feb. 26.
The Kentucky Department of Revenue (KYDOR) will be transitioning to MyTaxes as a new tax portal for business tax filers, according to the department’s website. As a result, KYDOR will be on an operations pause from Feb. 26 to March 14.
During this time, processing refunds and acknowledgments for individual taxpayers will also pause, according to the KYDOR website.
State taxes filed after Feb. 26 will be processed after the operations pause ends on March 14, according to the department’s website.
To avoid this delay in refunds, individual taxpayers are encouraged to file “as soon as possible,” according to an email from the KYDOR.
