He’s a poet and he certainly knows it! Curtis Kaiser becomes wiser with each poem he will write, typing away in downtown Lexington during the night.
Kaiser is a Lexington man who spends some of his free time typing poetry for strangers on the sidewalks of Lexington.
He got the idea after finding a 1961 Smith Corona Skywriter in his attic, so he blew the dust off “and it worked and it was pretty cool, so I started messing with them, and kinda got four type writers. And I thought ‘well there is probably something I can do with these.’”
Since Halloween 2023, Kaiser has been typing free poetry for people he meets on the streets, totaling to a rough 300 poems.
