Star sophomore Brooklyn DeLeye and her nine kills dominated the first set in the first.
Set two was back and forth until Alabama went on a 6-2 run, giving them a 19-15 lead as they tried to even the match one set each.
Alabama had set point, but Kentucky went on a 3-0 run to tie the set at 24. DeLeye’s 16th kill of the game won the Cats the second set.
Alabama started the third set 4-1 trying to force a fourth set, but it was all Kentucky after that. Kentucky dominated the third set winning 25-15.
DeLeye led the team with 21 kills. Freshman Asia Thigpen also added nine kills herself as she is starting to get more comfortable after coming back from a knee injury.
Kentucky will try to remain perfect on this five-game road trip as they next take on Ole Miss on Sunday, Oct. 27, at 3:00 p.m. ET.
