Now we know how Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz executes a debate against Republican Senator from Ohio, JD Vance.
This was the first debate for Walz and Vance. There were questions about the Middle East, abortion, climate change among other prevalent topics.
I was very impressed with this debate. Both debaters did a good job of sticking to the questions and not going off-topic, which happened in past debates between President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump.
Walz and Vance went head to head with many of the questions made.
When asked questions about the Middle East, Walz made great points on how Harris wants to protect our allies, unlike Trump, who tends to side with nations such as North Korea and Russia. Even people who worked closely with Trump while he was in office no longer think he is fit to be president.
“His chief of staff John Kelly said Trump was the most flawed human being he ever met,” Walz said.
Why would we want someone to be president whose closest staff does not believe he is fit for office? I certainly do not.
Walz made a great point about how Vance once said that Trump was unfit for office. Unlike Trump, Walz believes that Harris has been a calm and steady leader. Walz made an excellent point about how Trump is a fickle, petty leader. Trump’s typical diplomacy is tweeting and siding with whoever makes sense to him.
Vance stuck to his statements on how his opinion of Trump has changed because he received inaccurate information from the media. He went on to say how he voted for Trump in the 2020 election.
Vance was able to be more relatable to his audience by talking about how, when he was growing up, his mother used food assistance and his grandmother used social security to help take care of him.
He also stated how he served in Iraq. He thinks that if they get Trump back in the White House, the “American Dream” could be attainable again.
Prior to the 2020 election, Vance strongly disliked Trump. Now it seems as though he thinks highly of him. Since being his running mate he has changed his views; who is to say he even believes in Trump when clearly his views can be easily persuaded for his own benefit?
Vance believes Trump made the world more secure. I can see no way in which this is true when it has been proven that Trump is against the now-overturned Roe v. Wade, as well as having been recorded saying climate change is a hoax. How can the world be more secure when the female population can no longer make their own medical decisions regarding reproductive care? How can we trust someone who believes climate change is a hoax when there is scientific proof that it is not?
Walz believes women’s right to make their own decisions regarding their reproductive care is crucial. He signed a bill into law making Minnesota one of the least restrictive states for reproductive care.
Walz was a much better debater than Vance, and I believe that the evidence Walz presented was superior to Vance’s. Walz’s experience in a public sector job has been far longer than Vances. This has helped him with the skills he can bring to his possible future vice presidency.

What an idiotic comment,Vance destroyed Waltz, the U.S. was a far better off place when Trump was in office, prices were literally 66 percent cheaper, everything,we had a great oil reserve,we were making other countries finally pay their fair share, other countries feared the United States again and stayed in line, like Russia, and all Trump did was send the decision back to individual states !
And abortion is against Gods will, are you,or anyone smarter than all knowing God ?! Matt Jones has spread his liberal cronyism to more in Kentucky, truly sad,my old home state, becoming more liberal daily ! People better start reading what God says, instead of liberal politicians and Matt Jones !
