Softball gets shutout by Tennessee

Tennessee junior pitcher Ellen Renfroe pitched seven innings of two-hit ball Friday to lead No. 5 Tennessee past No. 20 UK, 6-0, at the UK Softball Complex.

UK (24-9, 5-4 SEC) freshman pitcher Kelsey Nunley allowed six runs on five hits in the loss, picking up three strikeouts.

Renfroe struck out four as she worked the complete-game shutout.

The Cats next play Wednesday on the road against in-state rival No. 11 Louisville.
