Senior guard A’dia Mathies won her second consecutive SEC Player of the Year award, this time sharing the honor with junior Tennessee guard Meighan Simmons, the league announced Tuesday.

Mathies was also selected as All-SEC First Team. Joining her on the first team is UK junior center DeNesha Stallworth. Junior forward Samarie Walker was named to the All-SEC Second Team, as well as the All-Defensive Team.

UK Head coach Matthew Mitchell did not repeat as SEC Coach of the Year, as first year Tennessee head coach Holly Warlick received the honor. Warlick guided the Lady Vols to the SEC regular season title in the first season after legendary Tennessee head coach Pat Summitt retired.

The awards are selected by the 14 SEC head coaches.
