UK Police releases 2011 campus safety and security report

UK Police released Thursday the 2011 campus safety and security report, which lists how many of different types of crimes were reported on campus in 2011, 2010 and 2009.

Statistics in the report show no criminal homicides, murders or reports of manslaughter on campus during those years.

Five forcible sex offenses were reported in 2011 on UK’s main campus, with two reported on a residential facility.

Three robberies were reported on campus last year, as were four cases of aggravated assault.

Thirteen burglaries were reported on campus in 2011. Twelve motor vehicle thefts were reported.

Four cases of hate crimes were reported  in 2011, including two reports of terroristic threatening characterized by race. There was one report of criminal mischief and one of harassing communications, both characterized by race.

Also on UK’s main campus, there were five liquor-law violations and 54 drug-law violations and four weapons-law violations resulting in arrests in 2011, according to the report. There were 396 liquor-law violations, 74 drug-law violations and three weapons-law violations on campus that resulted in disciplinary referrals.
