UK moved up to No. 20 in the AP poll and down to No. 23 in the coach’s poll. Other Southeastern Conference teams in the poll are Florida (No. 14 in both) and Vanderbilt (No. 21/20).

Brandon Knight won SEC Freshman of the Week after averaging 21.0 points, 5.5 assists and 4.0 rebounds in games against Arkansas and Florida. This is the fifth time Knight has won the award, and the 12th time a UK freshman has won. Arkansas’ Rotnei Clarke was Player of the Week.

Terrence Jones was named one of 10 finalists for the Oscar Robertson Player of the Year Award. He averages 17.3 points and 9.1 rebounds.
