“Before Dark,” the 2nd annual outdoor, fall-themed concert with UK a cappella ensembles Paws and Listen and the acoUstiKats will take place Thursday in Haggin Field at 6 p.m., according to a news release.

The concert will feature the 2008 Z-Rock 103.3’s “Battle of the Band” winner, Jonathan’s Machete, and will include several booths showcasing other university student organizations. There also will be other family-friendly activities such as face and pumpkin painting, cakewalk and a silent auction for gift baskets and the opportunity to have Paws and Listen and the acoUstiKats sing at a personal event for the highest bidder. All proceeds from the auction will benefit the UK School of Music.

Admission is free and open to the public, and concertgoers are encouraged to bring blankets and lawn chairs. In event of rain, “Before Dark” will be held on the patio outside of the Student Center.
