University of Kentucky police received a call around 3:30 a.m. on July 7, saying that a man was outside of the Albert B. Chandler Hospital wielding a firearm, according to a press release from UK Public Relations.
The man entered a parking garage near the hospital on Transcript Avenue.
The subject fired multiple shots into the ceilings and walls of the garage, totaling three shots altogether. The subject was taken into custody by Lex PD and UK PD, the release said.
There were no injuries sustained during the crime, but the subject is being evaluated at the Albert B. Chandler Hospital.
The release added that charges are currently pending.
