Planning to go out on Super Bowl Sunday? Read how two bars near campus are preparing for football fans.
TWO KEYS
Aaron Brock, a history junior and bartender at Two Keys Tavern, is rolling up his sleeves for the Super Bowl bash.
“We’re expecting a lot of people,” Brock said.
Crowds will be attracted by a variety of drink specials, including dollar drafts all day and a bloody mary bar.
Two Keys will be pulling down the big screen to project the game, and both Miller and Coors will be promoting their beers and
handing out paraphernalia.
Goodfellas Pizza, adjacent to the bar, will provide pizza for fans looking for game munchies.
“It’s gonna be a blast, man,” Brock said. “Sunday nights are pretty nice here anyways.”
TIN ROOF
Usually noted for its good drinks and good music, Tin Roof will be bringing out the cookware for the special occasion.
“We’re making homemade chili,” Justin Stephens, bartender and manager, said. “We’ll also have chili cheese nachos.”
Bud Light will be running promotions during the game, and Tin Roof will be running 2-for-4 specials on the beer all day.
For those who blow their money on beer, Tin Roof will be running the popular Super Bowl Squares during the game. Those who win will receive food vouchers.
Stephens, who will be rooting for the Giants, thinks that no matter who wins, watching the game will be a fun time.
“It’s definitely the place to be,” Stephens said. “It’s a house party at a bar.”
