Calipari to preview NBA Draft on ESPN

Kentucky head coach John Calipari will be in Bristol, Conn., on Thursday and make several appearances on various ESPN shows to preview the 2016 NBA Draft.

Calipari will make a total of six on-air appearances on the sports network, starting with a co-hosting gig on the sports-talk radio/telecast show Mike & Mike from 8-10 a.m. The UK head coach will also be joined by special guest and former No. 1 pick Karl-Anthony Towns during the segment.

Calipari will then move over to the sports debate show First Take as a guest from 10-11 a.m. Then he’ll be on SportsCenter during the 11 a.m. hour, and be a guest on the His & Hers show at noon. Calipari will then round out his day on ESPN by making appearances on the Russillo & Kanell radio show around 1 p.m. and Highly Questionable at 4:30 p.m.

UK has had 26 players be selected in the NBA Draft during the Calipari-era, including 19 first round picks and three No. 1 overall picks.

Former Wildcats Jamal Murray, Tyler Ulis, Skal Labissiere and Alex Poythress have all declared for the draft this year and have all been projected to be selected in the draft by several experts.

ESPN’s coverage of the 2016 NBA Draft will begin at 7 p.m. on Thursday.
