‘No phones allowed’ sign on KY polling place not accurate

No phones allowed at Scott County polling place

News Staff

According to a report by LEX 18, law enforcement has been notified of a ‘No phones allowed’ sign at a polling place in Scott County.

Taking pictures of your ballot is not illegal in Kentucky, which is why there is unrest about the sign.

The Secretary of State’s office says that cell phones are allowed in Kentucky polling places, but the Scott County Board of Elections has reportedly refused to take down the sign. Their justification is that taking pictures of other voters and their identities is illegal.
