A campus-wide Crime Bulletin was sent out this morning alerting students, faculty and staff about a sexual assault incident that occurred in a UK residence hall on Monday, Jan. 16.

The survivor, a female UK student, was assaulted by a non-UK male student known to her. He is described as a 5’10” white male with brown hair, blue eyes and weighing 200 pounds.

“We received notification from the victim that she was sexually assaulted by a known offender and the investigation is ongoing,” UK Police Chief Joe Monroe said. “I cannot comment further on the open investigation.”
