UK Police notified campus of an arson incident on Wednesday. In a campus-wide email, UK Police reported a small fire in an elevator in Jewell Hall.

A paper flier hanging in the elevator burned, according to the email. The protective tarp covering the elevator walls was damaged as well.

The flier was hung on Aug. 11 and the damage was noticed on Aug. 15. 

No injuries were reported, according to the email. 

The crime bulletin was issued in compliance with the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act of 1998.
