Dan O’Hair, dean of the College of Communication and Information for nine years, will be stepping down and joining the Department of Communications faculty.

He announced the change in an email to the college’s listserv.

“I am proud of the work we accomplished during this time,” O’Hair wrote in the email. 

He gave his thanks to those in the college, as well as to President Eli Capilouto and Provost Tim Tracy, “for their inspiration and leadership as UK has weathered some rather tough conditions in the last few years.”

He said he looks forward to being in the college for the next several years.

“I… know that our best times are still ahead,” O’Hair wrote.
