Transportation Services is looking into a program to further encourage alternative methods of transportation on campus.

Eric N. Monday, Transportation Services executive vice president for finance and administration, sent a campus-wide email asking students to complete a survey about their transportation habits.

The results of the survey will help Transportation Services to build the “Commute Club,” which would reward dedicated alternative transportation users, according to Monday’s email. 

“We are committed to supporting the UK family’s success,” Monday wrote. “To that end, over the past few years, Transportation Services has greatly expanded mobility options for the campus community, with an emphasis on a broad array of choices for those traveling to, from and around campus.”

Students who take the survey, which closes Nov. 22, will be eligible to win one of several $20 gift cards to the UK Bookstore.
