Snoop Dogg brings The Puff Puff Pass Tour to Rupp
December 9, 2018
Snoop Dogg shut Rupp Arena down on Dec. 8, making the crowd go wild with hits dating back all the way to 1988.
Rupp Arena had a vibe like no other with opening acts Warren G, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, Too $hort and Suga Free lighting the place on fire with some of their top hits from back in the day and some new school sounds added in the mix as well.
The crowd was on its feet cheering, clapping and barking for the iconic Snoop Doggy Dogg as he made his appearance on stage with his flashy white sweat suit.
One fan was raving about how hype the crowd got when Snoop Dogg started performing the song “All I Do Is Win.”
“My favorite part about this concert is when Snoop Dogg started rapping his part in ‘All I Do Is Win’ because the crowd went wild when he started performing it,” said Maria Obregon.
The excitement didn’t stop there, though; fans were going insane when Snoop Dogg started performing one of his top hits, “Gin and Juice.” Snoop played this jam to get everyone on their feet, singing along and enjoying the rhythm and beat of the song.
Snoop Dogg even went so far as to surprise his audience with a whole strip club stage presence to go along with some of his top hits. The crowd went wild with anticipation for every song, making Rupp Arena come alive with every second.
When the 2002 hit single “Beautiful” started playing, all the ladies in Rupp Arena screamed and cheered as Snoop performed. He dedicated the song to all the “sexy Lexington ladies” out there that night.
Snoop was really looking out for the ladies last night because he turned right around and performed his feature in the song “You and Your Friends,” and the ladies across the arena didn’t hesitate to dance away.
One audience member enjoyed being at the concert with her friend and jamming out to all the hits.
“I had a really good time dancing and singing like no once was watching with my friend. Snoop Dogg was thrilling to watch,” said Ines Curti.
After a great night full of throwbacks, to put the cherry on top, Snoop Dogg ended the night with the song “Young Wild & Free,” bringing the audience carefree energy to finish the night off.
Snoop Dogg showed his Lexington fans a night to remember, one that Rupp will never forget.
