The Patterson Office Tower building will be closed starting at 7 a.m. on Saturday, Provost David Blackwell stated in an email addressed to all of campus. 

The building, which has 17 above-ground floors and is one of UK’s tallest buildings, will be closed for scheduled elevator maintenance. 

“For reasons of health and safety, POT will not be accessible during the hours of work on the elevators,” Blackwell wrote in the email. “If all work proceeds as planned, the building will be accessible by late Saturday afternoon or early evening.”
