A campus-wide alert warned the UK community of a gas leak at the Gatton Student Center on Friday night. 

The alert came just after 7:30 p.m. Those nearby are advised to avoid the area.

As of 7:50 p.m., there were five fire department vehicles present. 

Around 8 p.m., the situation passed, a UK Alert stated.
