No. 8 Kentucky gymnastics traveled to compete against No. 1 Oklahoma and was defeated, 197.885-197.225. Despite the loss, it was Kentucky’s best road score of its season and the third time scoring 197+.
Isabella Magnelli took her third event win on the balance beam with a 9.950. That wasn’t her only 9.950 of the night, she landed the same score on vault, setting a new season-best for both vault and beam, along with a career-best.
Hailey Davis’ rockstar floor routine scored a 9.950, securing her the event win. This was Davis’ third floor title of the season and sixth in her career. She also tallied a 9.875 on the bars, setting a new career-high.
Kentucky started on the bars with Isabella Rivelli leading it off, scoring 9.825. Ryan Noonan landed a 9.800 and Annie Riegert made her season debut with a 9.850 performance. Davis followed with her new career-high 9.875 performance. Delaynee Rodriguez and Skylar Killough-Wilhelm wrapped up for the rotation, scoring 9.850 and 9.875. The overall score of this first rotation was 49.275.
The Cats traveled to vault for the second rotation, earning their best score since opening night, 49.350. Cecily Rizo posted a new season-high of 9.850 and Noonan stuck a 9.775. Makenzie Wilson landed a 9.850 followed by Magnelli’s 9.950. Killough-Wilhelm landed her career-high 9.925 and Rodriguez finished the rotation with a 9.725.
The third rotation was the floor, where Rodriguez, Magnelli and Killough-Wilhelm all posted 9.825s. Creslyn Brose made her first appearance of the night with a 9.850. Davis capped off the rotation with her winning performance of 9.950. The final score for this rotation was a 49.275.
Closing things out on the beam, Rodriguez led off with a 9.850, followed by Brose’s 9.800. Sharon Lee made her appearance of the night with a 9.850, and Chesney Bennett earned a 9.750. Killough-Wilhelm’s 9.875 set the stage for “Beam Queen” Magnelli, with her event-winning score of 9.950. Kentucky posted a 49.350 in this event, marking its only team event win of the night.
Kentucky returns home on Feb. 14 for its Valentine’s Meet with Temple. The meet will begin at 7 p.m. ET.
