“Papa John” resigns from UofL athletic board

John Schnatter, more commonly referred to as the creator and mogul of Papa John’s, resigned from the University of Louisville athletics association board last Thursday.

Although Schnatter is still a member of the university’s overall board of trustees, he criticized the athletics board for its “invisible” athletics director’s lack of attendance at trustee meetings. Despite that criticism, Schnatter did not give a reason for his resignation.

Schnatter’s seat on the athletics board has been filled by former Hilliard and Lyons executive James Rogers.
