Linnae Harper,Team USA open training camp for U-19 World Championships

UK Hoops freshman guard Linnae Harper took to the floor yesterday as Team USA opened training camp for the 2013 U-19 World Championships.
The team held two practices at the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colo., on Tuesday and will hold 13 more practice sessions through July 9.
Harper and her teammates will then travel to the Canary Islands for the Lanzarote Invitational Tournament which begins on July 12.
Team USA will face Australia, Spain and Canada before the squad travels Panevėžys, Lithuania for their final preparations before the World Championships gets underway.
The US squad opens the tournament against hosts Lithuania in Panevėžys on Thursday, July 18.
Shortly after the tournament ends on July 28 Harper will travel to Lexington to link up with UK head coach Matthew Mitchell in preparation for her debut season with the Cats.
Harper, who has represented her country at the U-16, U-17 and U-18 level, was previously a teammate of UK Hoops sophomore guard Janee Thompson at Whitney Young (Chicago) High School.
