SG voting Web site experiences problems

Freshmen or transfer students trying to cast their votes for Student Government online Wednesday morning may have had some troubles.

Ryan Smith, current SG president who is running for re-election, said at first, last year’s student roster was accidentally uploaded to the server instead of the current list of students.

The problem was resolved by noon, according to an e-mail that the SG election board sent through listserve around 11:50 a.m.

Voting began Wednesday at 9 a.m. and ends Thursday at 6 p.m. On-campus polling locations are at the Student Center and White Hall Classroom Building. Uncertified election results will be announced Thursday at 8 p.m. on the Student Center patio.
