Jay Blanton will return to UK as the new executive of public relations and marketing replacing Jimmy Stanton.

Blanton returns to UK after working as press secretary for Gov. Steve Beshear and as director of communications and marketing at Keeneland.

Stanton left UK Tuesday to take the associate athletic director of communications position at the University of Tennessee.

Blanton begins work Sept. 20.
