Each year, Freshman get to rush onto Commonwealth Stadium’s field well before the players suit up for their first game.
Our staff attended Big Blue U, the event that accommodates a normally illegal act, and shot a time lapse video of the students forming a large K, then leaving the field.
Before the students could rush the field, high-profile speakers like UK head football coach Joker Phillips and the new UK President Dr. Eli Capilouto gave advice to the students about having successful college lives.
The K formed in the center of the field is composed of only freshman students. This year’s class holds more than 4,000 new students (not all of which are pictured here).
