Anthony Davis a finalist for ESPN’s NEXT

Freshman forward Anthony Davis has been selected by ESPN as one of five basketball finalists for their NEXT award.

The NEXT award puts a spotlight on up-and-coming talents in various sports.

The other finalists are Kyrie Irving (former Duke player currently on the NBA’s Cleveland Cavaliers), Andre Drummond (Connecticut freshman), Perry Jones (Baylor sophomore) and Jabari Parker (a Class of 2013 forward).
