Late Monday night a man was robbed at Newtown Crossing, near the UK campus.

Sherelle Roberts, Lexington Police spokeswoman, said the victim was sitting in his car when three suspects came up to his vehicle and robbed him at 11: 58 p.m.

“He was sitting in the parking lot, talking on his phone,” Roberts said. “He was approached by three suspects, two male black suspects, one male white suspect.”

“They showed a gun and told him to get out of the car,” Roberts said. “They took his cell phone and his wallet.”

The two male black suspects were last seen wearing gray hoodies and the white male suspect was wearing a white hoodie as they fled from the scene.
