Sacramento Kings head coach Keith Smart has reinstated former UK forward DeMarcus Cousins.

Cousins practiced with the team Monday and is expected to travel to Portland for Wednesday’s game against the Trail Blazers.

The Kings announced Cousins had been suspended indefinitely for “unprofessional behavior and conduct detrimental to the team” after a verbal altercation between Smart and Cousins during Friday’s loss to the Los Angeles Clippers.

Cousins’ missed one game during his suspension, a 108-96 Sacramento win over Portland at Sleep Train Arena on Sunday.

In 23 outings with the Kings this season, Cousins leads the team in scoring with 16.6 points and 9.5 rebounds in 30.3 minutes of action per game.
