UK track and field is in action this weekend, with the squad split between two events, both on the road.

A 29-athlete-strong team travels to Lincoln, Neb., to take part in the Husker Invitational this weekend, while the men’s distance runners travel to South Bend, Ind., for the Notre Dame Meyo Invitational.

Fresh from her career-best personal record in the Rod McCravy Memorial Meet in Lexington last weekend, junior Kayla Parker will be looking for another strong performance in the women’s 60-meters.

Another UK athlete looking to improve on a personal best in Lincoln is sophomore Kadeem Kushimo, who runs in the men’s 60-meters.

Senior distance runner Walter Luttrell and freshman MacKay Wilson will be part of the group travelling to South Bend.

They will compete in the 5,000-meter race that gets underway at 7:15 p.m.
