UK sent out an alert Tuesday around 1:30 p.m. informing students, faculty and staff about a gas leak at Cooperstown Drive and Woodland Avenue.

The UK Alert also said to use caution and avoid the area, which is on South Campus near the W.T. Young Library and many of UK’s residence halls. Construction is also taking place at one corner of the intersection.

At about 2:30 p.m., another alert was sent saying the situation was all clear.
