UK baseball avoided a series sweep at the hands of No. 14 Arkansas with a walk-off win in game three of the series on Saturday, after earlier dropping the first game of a doubleheader at Cliff Hagan Stadium.

The Cats went into the bottom of the ninth inning down, 3-1, but rallied with two outs to come from behind and take the series finale by a score of 4-3.

Senior outfielder Zac Zellers delivered the walk-off hit for No. 23 UK with an RBI single on a 1-2 pitch.

In the first game of the day, UK (27-18, 10-14 SEC) fell to the Razorbacks, 5-3, despite home runs from freshman catcher Greg Fettes and sophomore first baseman A.J. Reed.

Arkansas (32-16, 15-8 SEC) won Friday’s series opener, 2-1.

The Cats are next in action on Tuesday when they host Wright State in a 6:30 p.m. game at Cliff Hagan Stadium.
