Rumor has it that this is “The Spot” for New Years Eve. The Manchester Music Hall has tickets on sale for $45 for its bash. The tickets include two free cocktails, a champagne toast at midnight and hors d’oeuvres. Guests 21 and older will dance the night away to the music of Vinyl Richie, The Wags, and DJ Tank. Looking for a more low-key way to celebrate? Check out the band Same As It Ever Was at Cosmic Charlies. Tickets are about $12 and the bar is close to campus.

Awesome Inc. Countdown for a Cause

Celebrate the New Year with Awesome Inc. dressed in your most stylish 1920s garb. Tickets are $35 online and $45 at the door, and include hors d’oeuvres and drink tickets. But what makes this holiday celebration the real cat’s pajamas? All of the proceeds go to the non-profit, The Joy Project. People can park near the company’s headquarters on 348 Main St.

Resolution Run

Made a resolution to get fit this new year? You have no excuse with the Resolution Run on Jan. 1. Roll out of bed after a long night for the Resolution Run. It’s $26 to register for the 5 mile run, and registration ends Dec. 31. The race begins at 2 p.m. at Coldstream Research Park.
