Suspect in Kennedy’s Wildcat Den robbery will face judge

This afternoon, a man who is charged with robbing Kennedy’s Wildcat Den is set to appear in court. 

Derek Hughes, 50, was arrested on Monday after he stole four sets of headphones from the store, according to WKYT. The robbery happened at 10 a.m. 

WKYT reports Kennedy’s store manager tried to stop Hughes but Hughes punched her, shoved her to the ground and stepped on her right ankle. 

Hughes is charged with second-degree robbery and is being held on a $5,000 bond. He will appear in Fayette District Court.
