On Monday, the trial of Robert Markham “Mark” Taylor continued.

Meredith Frame, a state medical examiner from Frankfort, testified that UK chef Alex Johnson suffered neck and skull fractures before he died in December 2013, the Lexington Herald-Leader reported.

Frame told jurors what she found on Johnson during her autopsy of him in detail, which included 26 cuts to his head, bruises on his chest, left hand and right leg, a neck fracture and depressed skull fracture. Frame said these injures were fatal, according to the Herald-Leader.

Taylor is charged with tampering with evidence and is a suspect in Johnson’s murder. Johnson was found in a barrel in the bottom of the Kentucky River in January 2014.
