From no commitments, to four commitments, head coach John Calipari and UK basketball have had quite a good 10-day stretch on the recruiting front capped off by the commitment of Quade Green.

Green, a five-star point guard according to 247Sports, announced his commitment to the program on Saturday night joining Nick RichardsP.J. Washington and Shai Alexander in the Cats’ 2017 recruiting class.

A Philadelphia native, Green is listed at 6’1” and is rated as the 24th best player in his class as well as the fourth best point guard in the 2017 class.

Green was said to have signed his national letter of intent on Wednesday, the final day of the fall signing period, but announced where he had signed Saturday night and picked UK over Syracuse and Villanova.

Green was a member of USA Basketball’s U18 team that won the FIBA America’s championship this past summer and averaged 18.7 points per game as a junior at Neumann-Goretti high school last season.

Over the span of ten days, Calipari has managed to pick up four top recruits in the 2017 class vaulting UK to the top of 247’s class rankings for 2017.
