Minimum wage to increase in 2017

Madison Rexroat

Starting on Jan. 1, the minimum wage in 21 states and several cities will increase.

Since Congress has not made any changes to the nation’s minimum wage since 2009, states and local governments have started making their own changes.

The biggest percentage change will be in Arizona, where the minimum wage will increase by 24% to $10. Other increases will vary from a few cents to a few dollars.

Kentucky is not one of the states to increase the minimum wage yet, but you can find the states that will increase it here
