Michael Evans-Douglas uses his senior year to honor his family

Defensive tackle Michael Evans-Douglas, who is from Largo, Fla., earned a starting spot his senior season in the second year of the Mark Stoops era. At the close of the season, Evans-Douglas has tallied 18 solo tackles and 12 assisted tackles for a combined 30 on the season. His most notable play came in the Cats’ matchup with South Carolina when Evans-Douglas batted Gamecock quarterback Dylan Thompson’s pass into the air, which gave Bud Dupree the opportunity to snag it for a pick six.

Cats gain offensive spark as defense holds strong

On Nov. 16 the Cats played with a virtual “looking ahead” mentality when they took on Buffalo in Rupp Arena two days prior to playing then-No. 5 Kansas in Indianapolis. But the Cats learned their lesson since their Buffalo game and throttled UT Arlington from the opening tip-off Tuesday to a 92-44 victory.
