Man charged after two people were pistol-whipped after Saturday’s football game

Police arrested and charged a man after two people were pistol-whipped across their heads Saturday shortly after the football game at Commonwealth Stadium.

The incident sparked from a verbal altercation between motorists in the Blue Lot, according to UK Public Relations. The UK Police Department charged Paul Walters with first-degree wanton endangerment and second-degree assault.

The two people who were pistol-whipped were taken to UK Chandler Hospital and quickly released after being treated for minor injuries, according to UK Public Relations. No students were involved.
