Tis the season.

The Southeastern Conference announced Monday that UK’s Oct. 31 game against Tennessee in Commonwealth Stadium will be played at 7:30 p.m. on the SEC Network.

The time coincides with the running of the 2015 Breeders Cup and trick-or-treating for Lexington residents. The post time for the $5 million Breeders Cup Classic featuring Triple Crown winner American Pharoah is 5:35 p.m. Trick-or-treating in Lexington is scheduled between 6-8 p.m.

The Breeders Cup continues a strong year for a city that in the past few weeks has hosted events ranging from from a Luke Bryan concert, a Thursday night football game against Auburn, and to an NBA exhibition game between the New Orleans Pelicans and the Sacramento Kings.

UK (4-2, 2-2 SEC) will host Tennessee on Oct. 31 in hopes of avenging previous season’s 50-16 loss to the Volunteers in Neyland Stadium. The Cats are searching the their first bowl appearance since 2010. UK’s next game is Saturday against Mississippi State in Starkville, MS.
