Lexington police arrested a third individual in connection to the shooting of Kentucky Kernel photo editor Jonathan Krueger.

A 17-year-old male was charged with murder, robbery, and tampering with physical evidence in connection with the shooting on the 400 block of East Maxwell Street near campus.

Police said they do not anticipate any more arrests in the case.

On Friday, police arrested Justin Delone Smith, 18, and Efrain Diaz, 20. Both men were charged with murder and first-degree robbery. Smith was also charged with tampering with physical evidence, and fleeing and evading. Both Diaz and Smith’s attorneys entered not guilty pleas to the charges on Monday afternoon.

Krueger, an integrated strategic communications junior, was shot and killed early Friday morning while he was walking home, near Transylvania Park.
