Adobe Cloud becomes available to students on Monday

UK students and staff will gain access to Adobe’s Creative Cloud desktop applications on Monday, UK announced Thursday afternoon.

UK Analytics and Technology signed a three-year contract with Adobe, according to a press release from Whitney Harder from UK public relations.

The contract expands UK’s current access to Adobe software to new video and multimedia applications, such as Premiere Pro and After Effects, according to the press release.

Both applications will become available across campus.

The contract also includes individual Creative Cloud licenses for students, which can be found through OnTheHub, UK’s academic software store.

Each license lasts one year but can be renewed.

Additionally, the UK Download website has been redesigned and updated to facilitate easier access to the software, according to the press release.

The website, new Adobe applications and student licenses will all become available on Monday.

UKAT will spend the three-year contract period to examine campus usage of Adobe software.

Faculty and staff will continue to download site-licensed applications from UK Download.
