Follow this page as UK begins the 2014-15 season against Grand Canyon University at 8 p.m. Friday at Rupp Arena.

UK’s starting lineup is the same as the exhibitions — sophomore guards Aaron and Andrew Harrison, junior forwards Alex Poythress and Willie Cauley-Stein and freshman forward Karl-Anthony Towns.

Derek Willis is out with an illness that will keep him “day-to-day”, according to UK Athletics.

The Antelopes are coached by three-time NBA All Star Dan Majerle, who took over the program in 2013 as Grand Canyon basketball shifted from Division II to Division I. Grand Canyon was 15-15 last season, and adds senior guard Royce Woolridge, who originally signed to Kansas and transferred to GCU via Washington State, where he averaged 11 points per game as a sophomore.

At the 12:50 mark of the second half, UK leads Grand Canyon 54-25.

With just more than 10 minutes left in the game, Grand Canyon has went on a small run and cut UK’s lead to 27 points (60-33)

UK is struggling to guard the 3-point line. Grand Canyon is shooting over 50 percent from three in the game.

UK leads Grand Canyon 76-41 with just more than three minutes remaining in the contest.
