The UK Student Activities Board’s Royalty Showcase introduced the candidates for Homecoming King and Queen with speeches and talent routines Monday night in Memorial Coliseum.

The contestants for Homecoming Queen were mining engineering senior Kathleen Smith, art history senior Whitney Scott, communications and mathematics senior Anne Marie Kirk, economics and marketing senior Kaley Tabor and economics and marketing senior Lee Foster.

Biology senior Colby Hall, psychology and political science senior Devon Wilson, finance and biology senior Jared Scott, anthropology and art senior Jonathan Yorkand economics, mathematics mathematical economics senior Roshan Palli competed to win Homecoming King votes.

2013 Homecoming King and Queen Alex Wade and Claci Ayers hosted the event. The candidates won awards for the most spirited performances or interesting talents displayed.

The results for Homecoming King and Queen will be revealed during halftime at the football game against Mississippi State on Saturday.
