UK alerted students of a reported armed robbery on Columbia and Pennsylvania Avenues shortly before midnight Thursday.

Two students reported that they were confronted and had their cell phones taken, said UK Chief of Police Joe Monroe, but UKPD is still gathering information.

At about 12:40 a.m., UK Alerts stated that the situation has passed.
